Cameroon continues to face several humanitarian
emergencies, including a nutrition crisis and an influx of
refugees fleeing from political instability and insecurity in
neighboring countries. With the second highest number
of internally displaced people in the North Africa region
and increasingly overpopulated refugee camps, it is
especially critical that women have adequate access to
health and safety services. UNFPA provides sexual and
reproductive health (SRH) services and works to prevent
and respond to gender-based violence (GBV).
