In response to this worsening humanitarian situation and the persisting inequalities, we have identified four regional priority intervention areas across our 23 countries:
- Providing life-saving assistance through the use of a ‘minimum initial service package’ for sexual and reproductive health in emergency settings;
- Acknowledging the high levels of gender-based violence and develop a support service for survivors;
- Efficient use of data and information on existing services and supplies to ensure better preparation, effective response and post crisis management;
- Building the resilience of vulnerable populations - especially young people - by ensuring a link between emergency relief interventions and existing efforts to build resilience and bring about sustainable development.
