UNFPA Cameroon’s 8th Country Program requires a budget of $ 60 million USD with $41 million USD still to be mobilized. Besides this, innovation and digitalization have emerged as significant strategic levers in the implementation of this program. Accordingly, UNFPA Resident Representative, Dr. Justin Koffi, knocked at the door of Orange, one of the leading telecommunication firm operating in Cameroon. During an audience with Mr. Blaise Alain Batongue, Orange Cameroon’s Director for Institutional and normative affairs, the two parties explored ways and means to strengthen their existing partnership. For many years, the Orange Cameroon Foundation has been of great support in the fight to end Obstetric Fistula in Cameroon. The telecommunication firm is widely open to discussing issues such as women and youth empowerment, innovation, and digitalization.
