To mark the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), the Governments of Benin, Denmark and the Netherlands, together with UNFPA, are hosting the ICPD30 Global Youth Dialogue with the theme: “A new generation’s vision for the future.” The event will take place from the 4th to 5th April in Cotonou, Benin with the aim of creating a platform for solution-focused discussions with young people on the continuous implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action.

The Global Youth Dialogue is designed to celebrate young people as changemakers, partners in development and custodians of the Programme of Action. It is a platform to hear the concerns of young people and to celebrate their projects and ensure that the ICPD is relevant for the coming decades.

The ICPD stands as a major landmark where world leaders agreed to take concrete action to put sexual and reproductive health and rights at the core of sustainable development.

For two days, young leaders from across the world will converge to Cotonou to discuss the way forward. Among them, four delegates selected based on their commitment to carry the voices of Cameroonian youths. These are Ornella De Vinyle Nzouegou, Fobasso Bolivar, Caroline Mveng and Sabine Jerye.
