Population and Development, marching on to International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) at 30. Cameroon is joining the whole Africa to evaluate 10yrs of implementation of the Addis-Abeba Declaration on Population &Development (AADPD). A consultative dialogue took place today in Yaounde engaging sectorial ministries, civil society &women & youth-led organisations.

The Addis-Abeba Declaration on Population & Development #AADPD is the guiding framework for the implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action in Africa, adopted back in 2013. Cameroon recently reported to the African Union on its positive progress on the 88 continental commitments.

This session also gave room to ownership of various stakeholders on Cameroon’s National Report ahead of the Regional Population Summit to be held in Lusaka, Zambia in November 2023 is a milestone for our joint walk towards #ICPD30 in September 2024
