David Lawson: Chief of Eastern and central Cluster visits UNFPA - Cameroon from 04th to 08th November 2007 ![]() Mr David Lawson is one amongst the three UNFPA cluster chiefs of the Africa division. As Eastern and Central cluster chief he covers Cameroon, Chad, Gabon, Congo , Central Africa Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo , Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Eritrea. David Lawson’s team is responsible for coordination between senior managements of the African Division and the eleven Country offices under his jurisdiction. His primary role is to facilitate the flow of information exchange and enhance cooperation between Country offices, himself and Headquarters. This initial visit to Cameroon will enable David Lawson to meet and discuss with UNFPA office staff, Ministers, National project directors, technical directors and finance personnel of the respective ministries as well as other implementing partners. Mr Lawson’s visit to UNFPA Cameroon comes at an opportuned time as the Country office navigates its way towards the finalisation of the 4th Country Programme come December 2007, and the Preparations for the launching of the 5th Country programme – January 2008 |
